Chairperson of Beep

Corporate Affairs Manager at Diageo, with over ten years gained in the areas of marketing, communications, social responsibility and stakeholder management. Her Extensive networks with credible NGOs and development agencies and institutional associations such as Grow Africa and Dfid. Phumza has extensive networks with credible NGOs and development agencies and institutional associations such as Grow Africa and Dfid. Phumza hope to add to BEEP a combination of all her areas of expertise, particularly those pertaining to Marketing and Communication as well as Strategic Development. She also wishes to tap into her extensive donor and private organizational network in order to secure continued funding and support for BEEPs activities.

GREG DANIELS

BEEP Vice- Chairperson

Director- Environmental and Green Business Law Firm, Director - Cullinan & Associates and also a director of EnAct International, a consultancy that specializes in developing policies and laws relating to environmental governance. Greg has an LLM in Marine and Environmental Law. His experience as an attorney and trustee on other boards can be of assistance to BEEP in avoiding many of the obstacles, governance or otherwise, that plague NPOs and PBOs. Also, he has a particular interest in developing people and in so doing building strong communities that contribute to society.

TSHOLOFELO KHOZA

Secretary

She holds an Honours Degree in Public Policy, and a BComm degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, both from the University of Cape Town. Tsholofelo has worked as a consultant in Economic Development, contributing to the primary research used to inform key infrastructure development policies in South Africa, as well as the performing arts strategy for the Western Cape. She has also worked as a Corporate Social Investment (CSI) consultant, consulting in both strategy development, and due diligence. Her main attraction to BEEP is that it is the brain child of someone that has walked the same path as the children  by someone they seek to help, and the organisation is staffed by former programme beneficiaries- ideal mentors with a keen understanding of the context in which they work.

DR HIN WAH LI

Vice – Secretary

Hails from Hong Kong and moved to Cape Town about six years, she completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Psychology and then she went on to complete her PhD in Chemistry. She currently work as the Communications Programme Manager at Project 90 by 2030, a Cape Town-based environmental organization working to bring cross-societal change, in how South Africans engage with their environment. She is passionate about finding innovative ways to bring about meaningful change and is fascinated by how the brain works. She is always on the look out for ideas that will enhance communication with different audiences that translate into action. She has worked alongside the BEEP team previously in developing educational materials for the BEEP interactive workshops.
